In the future, the European Commission will offer an online dispute resolution service via an online platform it operates. The platform serves as an additional resource for consumers and businesses seeking to resolve disputes arising from online contracts out of court and on a voluntary basis. This platform can be accessed via the external link https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/odr/main/?event=main.home.show.
To resolve disputes, consumers may request arbitration through the Energy Arbitration Board. This is subject to the condition that the supplier’s customer service has been contacted and no mutually
satisfactory solution has been reached. The supplier is obligated to participate in the arbitration proceedings.
